Smile New install HP

I put on test pipes yesterday, I'm thinking of putting on a new plenum spacer non HR motor. I already have a stillen CAI. What kind of gain am I looking at if I install a plenum along with the other two mods? Any guess's?

Here's how it works....

1) Get a dyno done.
2) Add performance parts.
3) Get another dyno done.
4) Calculate gains/losses.

If you add a spacer, do you really need a new plenum?

No new plenum just a spacer.

Did you put the Stillen sticker that came with the CAI on the car? If so, then yes you will have a 30HP gain. If not, you are looking at about 13HP gain.

Question

Having the stillen intake and a 5/16 spacer with test pipes is this a hp loss, or redundant to no gain. I here the spacer is only a gain in hp along with the pop charger. The stillen CAI is compared to the pop charger as being very similiar.

I don't know how much HP change there will be (increase or decrease). The Z, unlike some other cars, isn't as consistent with gains made for each mod. One thing I would suggest however, is to drive the car a bit easy until you can get a tune. With TP, intake, spacer, and exhaust, I would bet that you are running pretty lean.

You'll probably feel it more in the seat of your pants than you'll see on a dyno.

Huh??? A good dyno operator and machine can probably reproduce results within 1 or 2 HP. Do you really think you can feel 1, 2, even 10 HP difference out of 300?

Honestly dude, you're not going to feel much difference. The best thing you'll notice is the sound. You'll only gain 10-15 hp but it's a start and a fairly cheep way to gain a bit. Don't let these dudes get to you. Just be careful before your next post. Think to yourself "Am I setting myself up to be a$$ raped by cocky, egotistical dudes?" It's like naming a kid Sheldon or Preston... you know that his class mates are going to make fun of him until he kills himself.
