Default Headers install question, please help!

Hello guys
I'm about to install my XERD headers and wondering if I need a new gasket or not? Can I re-use the factory gasket with the aftermarket headers? Also is the 350Z gasket is a metal multi-layers? Thank you in advance.

It is recommended to always change out the gasket. Rather do it right the first time, then having to take everything off to replace the gasket. But it also matter how many miles are on the car/gasket and the condition of the gasket.

Thank you! My car has 7000 mile on it. Do you think if it's ok to re-use the gasket? Thanks again.

You should be ok with only 7K on your car. You would have to bang it up to not be able to reuse it at that point.

I would try first reusing the old gaskets. If they fail you can easily swap out to new gaskets by slotting the new gaskets so they can drop in from the top.

in order for the gains to be worth the price, headers MUST be a DIY, otherwise mechanics will charge up the yang for the labor-just my opinion though

It's not a very easy install the runners are positioned badly for tightining down the bolts (on the passenger side)
