Default my take on the 16784 magnaflow catback

This is my first(04) Z.. so wanting to spice things up a bit I decided to invest in a few bolt ons.. I ended up choosing a skunk2 plenum spacer, k&n filter and magnaflow exaust.

It definitely sounds better than stock but it really left me hanging.

Its very quiet! All the videos of this product on magnaflows website are demoing another model.

I just wanted to put that out there.. Could headers fix my problem?

Default not really a problem

I should have asked would headers improve the sound of the exhaust in far as making it sound louder? Is the exhaust kit the only factor in the level of sound.

I had the Magnaflow and loved it but what I had done to make it louder was replace the small muffler on the midpipe and added a straight pipe, sounded a lot meaner. Hope this helps. BTW Hi Flow Cats would make it louder as well.

Is that the 15765 exhaust or the 16784? It looks like the 15765 due to the shape of the large rectangular muffler...

Can i ask where you got the straight pipe to replace the small muffler you're referring to?

^Any muffler shop can cut the small muffler out and replace it with a straight pipe, as far as the model number I have no idea I sold the exhaust 2 years ago.
