How the hell does Nissan make a performance exhaust for the 350Z that leads to lower TQ response? That makes no f*****g sense..it would at least match the performance if not lead to an overall improvement in performance..and for that price, it is more than just the look/sound.

Granted, I am not once again trying to make gains here with this but I call bulls**t on the people that say it leads to a decrease in performance, that cannot be true. I also talked to a Z tuner who has been doing that for 10 years at GTM in cali about this exhaust and what it does to the car and I will take his word over whatever BS you guys keep claiming about a loss in TQ

nissan doesn't make nismo...you have to realize that nismo is just a re-badged piece. quality is great with the nismo exhaust and is the only aftermarket part that dealerships sell and cover under warranty, MOST of the time depending on what part it is.

back to topic:

i'd love to see dyno results with the loss of torque...most that i've seen is the 6-8whp gain and 1-2 gain in torque so please provide us the dyno claiming this torque loss since i don't think that's correct...

and as for it being modeled after the stock exhaust there are plenty of other aftermarket exhausts modeled the same way and MANY people have dyno charts resulting in gains throughout the powerband HP and Torque wise so i don't get why someone would say just the nismo produces a loss in torque...there is only so many designs out there that you can make to fit the 350z...but that's just my .02

the NISMO exhaust is not a rebadged anything actually, it is it's own part not sold under anywhere else. It is made by Fujitsubo for NISMO, but it's not the same

I agree, I should not have made this thread, sorry it is now a complete joke. There is so much false info and garbage in the posts ^^ I will just try to contact some Z tuners in California and get some answers from people who actually know what they are talking about.

Go for it! And notice how (Not unlike here) they still tell you whatever exhaust they have is the best. Or if it's a business, whatever exhaust they sell is the best.

We told you everythign you need to know. But if you would just take a hour or so and read a few of the thousands of posts ALREADY on here about this exact topic, you would probably find the answer you WANT (Not the correct answer) and you would be able to do it without typing a single thing!

And the correct answer being that I lose performance using the aftermarket Nismo exhaust? I have to call B.S there..show me the proof instead of just telling me to search. You have no data to back your claim. I am not arguing for or against but you have no valididty to your argument.

WOW!! If you aren't gonna take any advice from those that have had this, and other exhaust systems over the years, then why ask? You have picked the wrong mod to be nit-picking gains about.

Have you read all the exhaust threads? Have you read all the exhaust stickies? If you answer is anything other then yes, then you haven't tried hard enough to answer your question. If you SEARCH, there are threads that support what gains or losses people are achieving with dyno charts.

I don't care enough to dyno one insignificant NA mod like exhaust or intake. I bought my Nismo exhaust because i liked the looks and sound. And like EVERYONE is telling you. If you are doing any different you are gonna be in for a dissapointment.

u were already told that u are thinking to much into this..ur not comparing different turbo kits here or something..u are comparing exhausts and imo the nismo is the best looking and sounding exhaust and thats why i went with it, im telling u i did not lose any power or torque while doing so...Ur not gonna get significant gains out of an exhaust dude no matter what exhaust u go with, so u need to go with which one u like the looks and sound of basically...

im confused by ur post so nismo guy? lost torque?

u must be wasting ur time doing bolt ons and hoping to get big gains thru an exhaust or something ...i bought the exhaust for the sound and look and other things for the added performance..i drive the car and have to deal with listening to it everyday and looking at it and basically hate all the other exhausts sounds and looks with big exhaust tips hanging off the back and burnt tips and single exits and all that, i like the look of the nismo nice and classy looking and the sound is perfect for what i want especially with my motordyne xyz w resonator and test pipes it sounds amazing and before i was boosted to now being boosted never ever lost power or torque, id love to see any dyno charts where a stock z with a nismo cat back lost any power or torque..

this dude buying the exhaust is wasting time worrying about making any power or losing any power by adding an exhaust and needs to go with which one he thinks looks and sounds good cause at the end of the day thats what its doing for u if thats all ur gonna do to the car

Just got the Nismo put on...makes the car sound much more exotic. No regrets.

Is it just me or is it quieter than stock while at idle or low speeds?

One of the members here had it on his car for 40 miles and then sold it at a heavily discounted price although it is practically brand new. He was going FI and needed something less restrictive.

He had it at GTM in california which was like 60 miles from my house so I just had it put on this morning.
