Default AEM+Borlar TD+XERD's Headers Dyno

Here is the dynos i got today. Sorry I don't have the base run or the b-4 and after. The last time i dynoed my car was on 7/19/03 during the Summer and got 227 WHP and 217 TQ with only AEM and Borlar TD.

wow- 29 rwhp just from adding headers (and removing cats)? Was your baseline dyno you mentioned done on the same dyno? Jeff@Performance also saw some good increase once I/H/E and cats were completely opened up and free flowing.

The dyno place where I did my first dyno went out of business. This is at a different location, but with the same dynojet machine. I know that these runs can't be use to compare th gain of the number. I just wanted to show the dyno with my combination as I promised b-4. The weather is pretty cold compare to my previous runs.

My high flow cats are here early next week (Thanks Jeff and Jenny). Should be able to get on the dyno late next week to compare against my base line as well as the I/E combo only (still haven't dyno'd since adding headers and pulleys)
Curious to see the results after reading this thread as well as Jeff's. Thanks for posting your results.

Get ready for some rattle or raspiness sound from the XERD headers and Borla TD exhaust combination Next week the Crawford plenun will be here. If by the time I got the plenum installed and no snow, I will do some more dyno runs. I'm also heading to the track this Sunday if the weather is good.

Were your 1st set of numbers SAE Corrected or Actual like these? Could be part of the large gain you saw.

Did they take WB O2 readings?

You are right. I went back and check, He didn't use SAE Corrected. Man, it got me all excited. Anyway here is the SAE corrected number. Sorry guys.

MAX HP 243 MAX TQ 235. So I gained 16 HP and 18 TQ. Here is the dynojet file for the max run. I don't know to save it as a JPEG file. He also said that my car is running kinda lean and i need to tune it to get more power out of it. Someone can download it and post the graph here please. Thanks.

Zphat

Some good news, I looked at that file on my Dynojet run viewer, Max SAE HP was 248 and TQ was still the same.

The roughness of the graph @ 5700 rpm leads me to believe it's lean and would like more fuel

Could you get your other runs data? I would like to see how they change with each mod.

Good info you are putting out.

Here is the dyno graph that I did in the Summer with only CAI + Borla exhaust TD. If you need anything else let me know. With only CAI + Borla, I don't have the lean condition. Also here are the run 1,3,4 of the CAI+Borla+ XERD headers.

run 1
run 3
run 4

Here is the graph of CAI + Borla

CAI+Borla Exhaust

If you talk to the dyno shop again see if your old files are still on the dyno's computer and post them. Would like to graph the old with the new on the same screen

But right before 6K something happens, maybe a little KR from going lean. I don't think the AF data was in those files.

Also if the old files are on there, have them print out the runs in column format. That way you can see your AVG numbers and then you know how much your again overall vice peak.

Hope that thing won't be too loud!
I have the S-AFCII here so the car shouldn't run too lean.

Z phat Z,

Have you considered the ECU upgrade from Technosquare? They claim that the stock ECU was found to cause the car to run extremely rich after 5000 RPM. I have read several posts on various forums from people with your type of mods stating that after the ECU upgrade, they showed very good gains. I think there is a very fast turnaround if you remove your ECU, overnight it to them and then they overnight it back to you. So the car would be out of service for only 48 hours or so.

More info here: http://www.technosquareinc.com/350z.htm

I forgot to asked the dyno tech for the a/f ratios. I have posted my dyno runs above and i don't think they included the a/f ratios. About the sound, I really don't like it at all. I'm thinking of using different kind of mufflers or put the resonator back on to see if it eliminate the sound. I'm also thinking about the S-AFC 2, but you need someone that knows how to tune do it for you.

Wedge
My car is running lean not rich. I also considered about the TS ECU. But also waiting to see if there is anymore ECU coming out in the near future.
