Interested in a LT that makes gains on stock 06 engine and marries up with stock or aftermarket exhaust.

Is this post fawking serious? What is wrong with the people on this site? Why people want such crazy parts for near stock cars? I dont get it.

for 2+k gtfo
maybe for 1k i'd consider them
even that is a lot.
I mean, 1k can buy all sorts of parts, I'd rather just do test pipes and a reflash for that price; less work and some decent power.

^^ $2k+ for quality LTHs aren't expensive at all. Its just a different playing field. If we were talking about LTHs for a LSx motor, which a widely mass produced, then yeah, $2k would be expensive. Test pipes and a re-flash will not mimic the gains of quality LTHs.

I'll take the bait....

1. What is the technical definition of a "crazy part"?
2. What is the problem of using said "crazy part" on a largely stock vehicle if it provides measurable and repeatable gains?
3. Asking the header to marry up with stock and/or aftermarket exhaust ensures that I can buy the LT from FI and match it with a MD exhaust (for example), hence, not forcing me to buy a FI exhaust.
4. The answer to your question (what's wrong with people on this site?) should now be clear...as it is staring you in the mirror.

Regards,
Justin

As opposed to it "marrying" up to what?

I see...I'm being unclear...my apologies.

Perhaps it would have been better phrased to say I place a premium on proper fitment.

Since the FI Exhaust marries to the stock cats just like most exhausts for the Z why wouldnt their long tubes mate up to their exhaust or any other aftermarket exhaust. I stand by my original post.

Gotcha. I believe that to be the overall sentiment of all those who are intent on purchasing such a piece.

If you plan on putting LTHs on your "stock" exhaust, then you're doing your newly bought and expensive headers a disservice. Quality LTHs won't be cheap. Why spend the cake on quality long tube headers, just to choke them when they reach the stock exhaust? That's a wasted investment.

I believe that's the point 0jiggy0 is trying to make.

I doubt LTH's would ever come out for the VQDE. If they do, it'll probably be long after I'm on my next car.

^If you read in the intake/exhaust subforum, you'd see they were already in production... They're from SG.

Fast forward to: November 19th, 2010.

We have still not moved into our new shop. It will happen over the
course of the next 2 months. Now on to the headers because that is what all of you really care about!

The headers will currently have available fit the 2008+ G37 coupe & 2009+ 370Z. They fit the 350Z HR with minor modifications. Now I did a test fit and sent the 350Z HR on his way. However if I decide to put the headers into production for the 350Z HR I will have to make a permanent change. It is nothing major it is just routing one tube on the driver side slightly different to give more clearance between the header and floorboard.

As of today, I have not done a test fit on a 2003-2006 350Z DE. Like I said before if there is enough interest I will entertain the idea. But I have still received not one phone call from anyone who wants to be a test car. I need someone local in the Southern California area who wants the headers on their car. Worst case scenario they do not fit and we have to modify them. We will do before and after dynos to ease everyones mind.

Pricing:

The headers will look virtually identical to our current headers and will be offered in one of two configurations.

#1: Raw T-304 stainless steel: $1,250 USD
#2: T-304 stainless steel and then 1200 degree ceramic coated: $1,595 USD

If a set of headers is purchased in conjunction with any of our cat back exhaust systems you will receive a $100 USD credit towards the headers. It is called our "Package deal".

Shipping will range from $50-$70 USD for the continental US.

If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to call me directly...

Thank you, Tony

definitely interested, as I was entertaining the idea of getting the SGs

however if the gains were similar, shaving $400 off the price of SGs would be nice
