So I have the HKS true dual ti, 5/16" spacer, and JWT pop charger, and I recently bought Berk HFC's for it and I absolutly hate the sound. I really liked the HKS sound before I got the HFC's, but now its a bit too raspy. Does anyone have any suggestions for non raspy sounding HFC's?

you are definetly not going to like test pipes. i got the same exhaust and aps 2.5 test pipes with it. i love the sound of myne!!!! it all in the matter of personal opinion

 

hit up Motordyne on the forum, they have some fancy test pipes that eliminate rasp supposedly

 

I love the sound my Kinetics HFCs put out with my M2 clone. But I did the x-pipe mod and think that was the best sound mod.

 

I have the same exhaust with Stillen HFC's. Like BobbyZ said though, it's all a matter of opinion. To me, it sounds great.

 

I wanted to avoid test pipes due the the CEL and I want to pass emissions.

 

As a heads up, HFC can/will give you the CEL as well, and can cause a problem with the visual test if your state employs that.

 

Part of the reason why I bought the Berk's because they don't make the CEL come on.....

Im thinking about going back to the stock cats....

 

My Crawford HFCs gave my hks a deeper throatier sound. I like it a lot. I think mine at ceramic

and nope, no cel and looks completely like Oem from outside.

 

If you don't mind hacking up your authentic HKS, I suggest getting a resonated x-pipe in place of the h-pipe. the will definitely smoothen out the sound.

 

Do you have a sound clip by any chance? Someone else said ceramic is the way to go.
