Default Rare noise after header install

Hello guys. I installed a header in my 04 Touring Z. After this a strange noise comes from the exhaust system and looks like coming from the middle of the car where the catalistics were.

Anyone experienced this annoying noise? I also put the test pipes and 2" tubing all the way back.

The problem is the 2 inch exhaust. Where did you ever get the idea that 2 inches is appropriate.

Put the other header on.

Like others said you have rasp, it is mainly the test pipes causing the worst of it. My car sounds like sh*t, but f*#k it.

Most of it depending on your exhaust setup. All of it if you are using stock exhaust.

Just put my headers on today! can you describe the annoying noise in a little more detail? Mine is making all sorts of raspy hissing and popping noises (which I love), and I also have a custom ypipe, hfc's, and exhaust.

It might be the normal sounds if your gaskets are fine.

I think I messed something up though, because my car smells like burnt Indian food when I gun it...

Should I remove the header and left only the test pipes?

Why dont you give us a description, sound clip, or movie of the noise. The Z makes tons of noises stock, and even more modded.

I have no idea wtf your talking about.

Sam

The noises you are hearing is refered to as rasp. We all have it in some form from switching OEM exhaust components for aftermarket. Once you remove the factory cats it will be there. Sounds like a thousand mice are running wild in your exhaust when you apply moderate throttle.

Live with it or go back to OEM cats, better yet full OEM exhaust system.

Sorry also forgot to address the headers, those should have never been installed, waste on our motors.
