i think a test was done on a non rev up with stock cams, and the power bump was small
with a more aggressive cam you would see bigger power gains from these headers

Lots of people can't seem to distinguish between expensive and overpriced...there is a difference.
I know first hand what is involved in building a set of headers using the quality of materials that are used in these, and the labor involved in manufacturing even a single set. These are expensive yes, but the price is very much inline with what it would be if you had a custom, one off set done locally by a respected header builder.
20black350z - Kooks is now down in your neck of the woods. One of the best header makers in the world. Give them a call, and ask them how much it would be to do a set of long tubes for your car (car would have to be left with them for a few days to build 'em). I'd bet the costs will be similar to what is involved here.

People don't mind spending 1200 for an exhaust which will give you 5-10hp at MOST. This can have upwards of 40whp with the proper head, cam, fuel and tuning.

A local muffler shop in South jersey wanted 3000 for a set of headers with all burns parts. Its definately expensive, and the gains aren't garanteed if you don't have a matching head, cam, tune combo. This is a great deal for people who prefer to stay N/A.
People don't mind spending 1200 for an exhaust which will give you 5-10hp at MOST. This can have upwards of 40whp with the proper head, cam, fuel and tuning.

edit: just read the other thread... I wonder if they ever figured out why they only made 9hp on the non-rev up engine.
