Default HKS w/Test pipes?

Hey guys, I recently bought an agency power exhaust but it was wayyy too loud for my taste. I am looking to get a hks hi power dual, but with resonated test pipes. I read all the threads about hks with res test pipes, and most said the sound after was perfect. Some said it was too loud for their taste. I want my hks to sound loud with res test pipes, but not as loud as the agency power. Would res tp make it that loud? If someone could give me some feedback, preferably those who heard the agency power and hks with tp would be great. It would be better if you had info on hks decibel level, hks with tp decibel level, and agency power single decibel level, that would be the best way to measure the sound level. Thanks.

no drone? Thank god. Thats what I am confused on. Some say its perfect, not too loud, and others say its loud. How loud is loud? Cuz agency power is freakin loud. It is rear ringing, police attention loud? Or just louder than hks without pipes?

Just Hks cat back isn't much louder than stock IMo but the test pipes made it a lot louder with some rasp. The car still isn't loud when cruising but at wot people say it sounds great and it does get loud. Like louder than a sti with a Crawford axel back

Resonators are noise attenuating components. Figure about 2 db. The final result (db) depends on what you begin with.

or

Install resonated test pipes now and see if the noise level is suitable.

Just got back from the shop and heard mine for the first time. I've had the HKS on my '07 HR for a while but did cams and headwork, and added Tomei headers and TP's. That B sounds mean as hell. Glad it's not a dd.

Cruising and In cabin isn't bad but the rasp with the Windows down gets old after a while.so I ended up putting the magnaflow X-pipe and it sounds way better.also the torque is felt more

Well you added headers plus tp's, so it probably louder. Is it not bearable then?

The rasp is because you have non res right? I am looking for res tp on the hks. Either, way, I think I will just go ahead and get some res tp. Have any of you guys heard of cnt tp?

I haven't had the opportunity to drive it yet, just started it up in the shop. It'll be on the dyno all day tomorrow ( effed up an O2 sensor, can't get one 'til tomorrow ).

Plenty. Will start a thread with and include everthing done for my minor HR engine build. Plenty of dyno sheets too. Should have the car back tomorrow night.
