I kept the stock cats and exhaust just in case I get a hard a$$.

Good thinking here. If everybody buys the cats then folks would identify the exotic sound with the Z. People. Buy the cats.

You don't really hear much of a difference unless you are WOT.

Do the RT cats produce a smell like I've read about the test pipes?
Thanks, Dan

The RT cats produce no smell. The test pipes do because there is no cat in them at all.

The RT's smell when first installed like most exhuast parts. But it goes away after the car is running for a while.

Default RT Cats too loud?

I'd like to get a set but I'm concerned that with the SES straight tips I plan on adding, the combination might be louder than I want.
Is it double work to add the Cats first leaving the stock exhaust and then later add the SES exhaust?
Anyone have the CAts with a stock exhaust? Anyone have the Cats north of San Francisco where I might hear them?
