I am thinking of going turbo. If i am not mistaken this means i should not do headers because the turbo will use its own exhaust manifold - correct???

I presume i should do cats and exhaust.

Any input on an agressive cam profile and the effect that has on a turbos performance?

You are correct.
Any turbo system you will be going to will/should provide you with new manifolds.
