Default flowmaster?

Soooo.... I might get crap for this, but has anybody tried out a flowmaster for the 350z? With custom piping and stock tips.... just wondering.

flow masters on a z, lol. May you please relinquish your rights to own a z. I believe you are looking for the mustang/camaro forum.

It's been done before, but just not that typical to use a Flowmaster on a Z... I was going to use a 30 series in place of the resonator on the mid-pipe a while ago, but I didn't have the ***** to try it... LOL

I'd actually be interested in hearing what it would sound like. if it sounds good, hidden flowmasters will look better ugly canisters IMO

I actually have a flowmaster muffler w/ customer piping and Megan test pipes. I love the way it sounds and get complements all the time. I'll try to get some vids posted soon.

nice, can't wait

do you have the new megan test pipes with the flex joints? I had the first gen and they cracked after like a month. Apparently, their welders are much better now too

I too have a custom flowmaster exhaust and believe it or not it sounds way better than most of the other exhausts for 350z's on the market (personal opinion i know). Though it does not yield much of a power gain it sounds amazing. This winter i'll be adding dc ceramic headers and some test pipes cause i'd like my exhaust to not just be loud and deep, but i want it to scream. The flowmaster sounds very much like the greddy elite se for a cheaper price. I'd say if your looking for sound get a flowmaster.

Youtube it and you'll see it sounds nice! I will be installing a custom exhaust in the next few week with the following.
Custom pipes w/o cats, x pipe, resonator's to control the rasp and a Flowmaster muffler 2.5 duel inlet duel outlet. I have a set of full length header that I may put on but I may go FI so not sure on that one. I post a sound clip when I'm done.

Flow masters are the worst flowing mufflers there are. I watched a test where one flowed 40 percent compared to the same sized magnaflow. Flowmaster uses a lot of baffling to get their signature sound.

Members have do it sure. What initially looks like an inexpensive mod turns out to be an expensive headache. Fit and weld will cost you.

i don't like the sound in that vid. it was a mix between a weird drone and high pitched rasp.
