Default Genaral Exhaust Repair question

Hey guys,

Ive done a search here for exhaust and find a lot of posts on aftermarket exhaust upgrades. I am in need of a new muffler and was wondering if going the route of just having my mechanic replace the muffler with factory exhaust would end up costing me about the same as an upgrade.
How much am I in the ballpark of spending if I go this route versus the Aftermarket route.
Sorry if this has been discussed .
thanks in advance.

Well.....How much does your mechanic want to charge you for replacing factory muffler?

Chances are it will still be much cheaper to just replace oem muffler.

I would upgrade anyways, this is god telling you its time for a new and better exhaust, dont slap him in the face and get another oem. If your going to put your money towards new parts, it might as well be something better (that is assuming you ARE currently modding your Z and dont want to leave it stock).
