Default new intake manifold!

i have heard nothing from anyone...until last night i went onto bulletproof.com , i think that was it, anyway i think it was central 20 that has a new intake manifold out...great website that bullrtproof, they have alot of ****, but provide no information about anything! does anybody know about this intake?> if not i think we should find out cause it was only like $595...thats not cheap, but about the same as crawfords. i wonder if you have to send them your stock one? if you did it would be expensive no? isnt central 20 a japenese company based soley in japan?

Yeah thats esprit not central 20. Also the ONLY thing you get with that kit are the blue spacers pictured. All it does is increase the volume of the factory plenum. Its effective but not worth $530!

You could make this same piece out of UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) polyeurathane for about $200. That would have the added advantage of keeping heat from being transfered to the top half of the plenum, thus keeping intake air a bit cooler.

Hmm, I think I have some laying around that might be large enough. I think I have a new project for this weekend.

Default damn, i thought it was the whole thing pictured

I seen this product a long time ago in the japanese Z33 magazine and thought it was a bored out stock plenum or something, not just the plastic blue washer like thing. I think i'll take this off my list now....

why not make your own piece (like previously stated) and bore out/polish the inside of the stock plenum?

Default good idea

Cheston,

might be a summer project of mine. We'll see. Haven't really looked in the plenum to see if those oval intakes are smoothed out or not. I'm not sure how thick the walls are either. I might get to dremel happy and bore a hole right through the dang thing. I would like to see that blue spacer thing first though and see how hard it is to make one of those. Just wondering, why did they design it with the ovals facing sideways, wouldn't it be just as good if they didn't have the top part on it, just going straight down into the intake ports?

Not trying to flame Bulletproof too much as they are a sponsor on this site, but I ordered a set of Varis Carbon Fiber B-Pillar covers from Colin in July...as of September hadn't heard anything, so I emailed him for an update....still nothing...I emailed him last week & said that if that's the kind of customer service to expect, then I don't want to have anything to do with that company. Other people may have had good results, but to me...customer service is everything.
