Default Nismo exhaust owners

Do any of you feel like the exhaust is still to quiet? It is pretty loud after 3k rpms but I am considering HFC's or TP's. I have heard that the HFC's (berk I think) will cause the nismo y pipe to crack or something like that.

Anyone have TPS or HFCS + Nismo? I know Singh and a few other owners have it and would love some feedback. Thanks.

I heard it was the other way around, the Nismo Y-Pipe was causing other parts to crack. Anyhow, there are a number of people out there with the S-Tune and HFCs/Straights. Just try searching for S tune on here or youtube.

I had the Nismo with Berks HFC before I sold it off. It was perfect if you ask me. I highly recommend it.

you can eliminate the resonator and although much louder it is still quieter and classy than other systems.

I had a custom mid-pipe created

Yes you're right I had it backwards. I also love the tone and it's perfect for loud but it's not pull me over loud. I am strongly considering HFCs but don't wanna shell out that money risking them to crack because of the y pipe. I also don't know if it's just the nismO y pipe because if so that means HFCs + new y pipe. Thanks for the info guys I'm going to lOok up more vids On HFCs sorry I'm posting from my ipod

I have Nismo S Tune + Berk hfcs.
With stock cats, Nismo exhaust sounds quiet and no rasp.
With hfcs, it sounds way louder and more aggressive, but induces rasp around 3k+ rpm.
I also have Stillen Y pipe. If you already have Nismo S Tune exhaust, then stay with stock cats and see if you want to go with tps or hfcs later.
There are many sound clips on youtube.

Im thinking about picking a Nismo S-Tune exhaust up.
Is $500 for the whole system a good deal?
Im thinking about keeping my stock cats but also been hearing alot that the nismo y-pipe causes them to crack? should I be concerned?
Also would it be worth replacing the nismo y-pipe with an aftermarket HR design?

^If the exhaust is in good condition, then yes it is a good deal.

Nismo y pipe probably won't crack stock cats.

Nismo exhaust sounds like heaven w/or w/o windows down. Anymore is too much. You have to hear/experience for yourself. We can say all we want, it won't tell you what you will hear when you try it.

eh I personally wouldn't do TPs. . .the Nismo exhaust sounds amazing, its like the stock on roids I guess thats the best way to put it. Sounds perfect but it will be somewhat quiet under 2.5k/3k rpms but after that it sounds perfect.

i have tp's and have actually wanted to pair the quiet nismo with test pipes. But I absolutely don't want rasp. Would 2.5 inlet to 3 inch outlet tp with 3 in aam y pipe to nismo muffler induce rasp? Too loud? Just got pulled over for loud exhaust, and looking for quieter options.

and everyone says nismo exhaust is soooooo perfect. Does it really sound that nice? I heard the tanabe medallion, the one that looks like the nismo/stock exhaust, and that sounded sexy. Is it the same kinda sound?

btw, just thought of this. If the nismo s tune is so sexy, and the art pipes produce a sound that is harmonic, has anyone paired these two up???
