The RT cats are a little louder, but it is not an anoying bad sound...

Just dont go WOT all the time, for every day driving i tend to keep the RPM's low so I dont attract much attention any way.

Ill let other people speed infront of me and let them get the tickets.

Ive had enough...

YES!! And worth every fix it ticket!!!! Funny, but in all seriousness I've never been pulled over for my exhaust, only because the way the car is striped out.

on your site, it says that it's only for off-road use. I think it's some agreement. Is this true? and if so, why?

thanx

Legally it has to be there for any part that is not CARB certified. But actually, now that I think of it, We put that there before we knew they were CARB certified!

from random technology's web site...

Under Federal EPA regulation, replacement of original catalytic converters is allowed only if the original converter(s) is missing, or the vehicle has more than 50,000 miles or is at least five years old and the need for a replacement has been established and documented, or a local inspection program has determined the existing converter is in need of replacement.

Its too bad that I hit that rock and it crushed my stock cat's and needed new ones. I am not used to the Z's low ride height.

Eh... using bad gas since you've owned the car, thus, prematurely destroying your cats is more believable.

Michael.

What about all of this talk suggesting that the ECU will evantually "cancel" the mod if not tuned correctly?

Here is what the Random Technology site says:

This design, which meets Federal EPA and California ARB requirements, enables virtually any vehicle with a properly tuned engine to meet emissions standards with little, if any power loss (compared to an exhaust with no catalytic converter). Please note that no aftermarket catalytic converters are legal for installation in California on OBD II vehicles (some 1994 & 1995, and all 1996 and later vehicles).

California is ridiculous on this stuff. I know there is an all out effort to clean up the air...........but why would they care if we replace cats with cats that meet their own standards? sheesh!

I guess the only way to get these installed is to do it yourself. As we all know...........no shop would risk doing something illegal in California..........at least not for a reasonable price.......hehe.

Hi Jason are you guys open the weekend of Martin Luther King's holiday? I live in SF and am thinking about driving down to get RT cat and Nismo CAI installed at your establishment. Could you break down the cost for me including installation/parts? Re RT cat, would it void the rest of my warranty (I have 7year 100K Nissan warranty) and would you guys honor it?

Thanks,

Dan
