it is set up for pipe clamps, but you want to get it welded. 100 bucks at any good muffler place.

Assuming you dont already have the pipe.. you probably should be ordering the 2.5 inch version. Youll want to double check.
Real HKS is actually 2.25, and a better pipe size for NA cars.

I'm assuming you're running test pipes and you're wanting to get rid of the raspy sound and heard about the Xpipe mod to help eliminate it. Another thing that helps is the Berk HFC, I have the HKS and was running TurboXS test pipes and had to switch over to the Berk HFC made it alot better but I went the more expensive route tho. I've heard different sound clips of the HKS with the X and also with the Berk HFC and the Xpipe, which sounded badass. Sorry but I dont have pics

the item from performance peddler that looks like a muffler is the exact same thing as pictured above.. but full of small holes... and covered in a muffler, and is a beter idea IMO. If you want to get rid of drone, why not get rid of the drone? A x pipe is one thing, the res'd part is quite another.

buy the performance peddler part.. mine is sitting on my shop floor waiting to go as well.

are you serious? The dual hks is too loud with stock cats? The thing sounds like stock. I don't really think the x pipe is going to muffle the sound that much for you then, its mainly to reduce rasp.

i assure you this exhaust sounds nothing like stock on the freeway. AT ALL.
The drone is terrible, so bad that i avoid 6th gear.

I will regurgitate the same info here as the other threads.. the knock off HKS exhaust resonated H pipe sucks.. the corssover holes arent even full pipe diameter ID, and the resonators tehmselves die quickly like most glass pack stuff..

the scavenging effect of the x pipe is substantial and adds to a more even exhaust note, a better low end torque "feel" and a less "notey" exhaust tone.
It also helps deflect high frequency direction rasp associated w test pipes etc.

OPs just wondering if it clamps or not and wants pics.. all info is there for you now.
Go in peace.

Ahh people modding cars and complaining about a quiet exhaust being too loud. Try 3" true dual and open dumps lol

Carrera gt - loud good.
Farting in a megaphone at 75 mph- bad.

I'm sure u can appreciate that. Loud is not our issue. Its drone. There is a fix to such issue, hence this thread.

i had ordered the resonated x pipe ( looks like a flat muffler) and the shop says its too big to fit in the area necessary.. ???

So i picked my car up ... w the XO2 exhaust and test pipes .... and they did NOT install the x pipe....and yes.. its INSANE loud and sounds TERRIBLE. Its like driving a farm truck w no muffler down the street, and the worst part is that its SUPER loud and im not even moving fast. I floor it, and for the amount of sound.. it does NOT match the foward motion of my car.. ive had a crappy weekend and it totally dampened my spirits about my build for SURE... btw its not a race car.. its a dd.

I say that as if its still anything like what my car sounds like now ( 7000 decibel fart cannon) Im scraping the whole set up.

Should i throw a Nismo v pipe exhaust on it now? OR is the x pipe still good to go? which one should i use? I wouldnt have done the test pipes at ALL if id have been told the x pipe i sent in wouldnt fit. Im sure the shop will hook it up.. they always do, but I want some background opinion from the board too... and theres some senior members on this thread..... help meh!
thanks.

PM Carbon05 and see if he remembers the Magnaflow part number, the one in his old sale thread looks like it fits very well. According to the Magnaflow website there are a bunch of different lengths in each diameter: 11,14,18,and 22 inch.

Maybe you got the wrong one?
