Default Quick question on HFC install.

Hey guys, I'm just finishing up my HFC install and just want to make sure I'm reading the torque specs right for the bolts.

According to this I see the header to cat bolts are supposed to be 60 - 65 ft/lbs and the cat to y-pipe bolts are supposed to be 45-59 ft/lbs?

lol, you should be fine. Even the haynes manual I got simply said "Tighten the nuts securely." Seriously, that's the last line for HFC replacement...

I know I just saw that picture while doing my research on the install and wanted to make sure I got it right.

Me = first time adding parts to Z by myself. I'm taking it REAL slow and trying to do stuff right. I'm sure if I did this all the time I'd be like, "Ok, that's tight enough." lol

BAh, got everthing together and the passenger side is leaking fumes. I guess I shouldn't have been cheap and bought a new gaskets (bought the hfc's used). Oh well, off to Nissan tomorrow and then to take it off.

Weird, started her up again today and she isn't leaking anymore. Took her out for a drive for about 10 minutes, gunned it a couple of times and heard a slight hissing sound. Perhaps that's the rasp people were talking about? It wasn't that much, I wouldn't have even heard it if I didn't have the radio off.

Came back, let it idle in the garage popped the hood and it still wasn't leaking. Maybe when I started it up the first time it was burning of PB blaster? When I first started it up there were literally billows of smoke coming from that side, then it was light smoke, and now there is nothing at all???

Oh well, I ordered replacement gaskets just in case.
