When you purchase the cat's online, there is a NOTES section to your order, say you are a my350z member and we will change the price.

charge your card $500 plus shipping.

as for the exhaust I will look monday, But, from all of nismo's other products. they put their product through some of the hardest testing before they even dream of releasing a product.

Jason/Jeff,
what about the legality of using aftermarket cats in CA?

if the cats pass emissions, then why is a visual even needed? why do they care?

thanx

They come with a CARB certification card.

They do visuals at their disgression. But there is nothing that would flag them if you A. pass smog and B. dont have an obvious smell or sound.

According to the Random Tech Web site, "no aftermarket catalytic converters are legal for installation in California on OBD II vehicles." That said, they do pass the sniffer and as far as visual goes, you can't see them.

That'll be my next Mod but I'll also need to add the Techno-Square ECU Thats another 600. So it'll run over 1000.

Jeff or Jason, what kind of stainless steel is the Nismo cat-back exhaust manufactured from? And is it just the tips or the whole thing? Thanks. Oh, and can you recommend a Nissan dealership for the Bay area of California to do the install? It's like a 7 hour drive south for me to come to you guys.

The whole thing is stainless steel. the Tips are Double-Walled.

IT does not say what type of steel they are made of, but, since it is an S-Tune product it is covered under Nissans Parts and Accessories warranty. And I believe there is a warranty on Rusting.

We don't have an answer about what kind of stainless steel the cat back is. We put in a call to our guy at Nissan but have not yet heard back. We'll let you know as soon as we find out. Hey, a 7 hour drive isn't that far, Disneyland is awesome this time of year.. As far as Nissan Dealers up there... sorry don't have any idea.

hey i was at another z forum and the guys were saying that installing high flow cats caused the Z to run lean.....and you had to get the ecu reflashed to make it right. Anybody know about this? It supposedly came from some guy who is a real Z guru

I just had the Nismo exhaust installed by Performance Imports in Millbrae, California. It took an hour and I was on the road. Ask for the owner Jay: (650) 589-6247

Do the RT Highflow Cats increase the sound of the Nismo exhaust? I'm interested in getting the pair, but don't want added sound.

Yes, it fulls it up, but it is not that much louder...

Are you in Southern Cali?

We can meet up here at the dealership and you can hear what they sound like. If you like them we can get them on for you

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, that's only like an hour away. But Sacramento is still closer for me. I'll make some calls.
