It is only a cat back exhaust. once you change the cat then ECU will help you more...
ECU will help you even on a stock car because you will raise your rev limiter and fine tune A/F... but the cat back changes that soo slightly you dont have to worry...
If you are changing the cat, then you should do something about the ECU but do it when you are done with all your mods.

to those of you who have never had the opportunity to drive an older ferrari, that is the "exotic" sound everyone is taking about. when i bought my z i got them to"throw in" the exhuast and intake. when i came to pick it up the next day, iwas immediately reminded of my friend's spyder. i'will never put another exhuast on this car. i spent hundreds on different mufflers, pipes, cats trying to get this sound out of my 93 stealth rt. the exhuast is perfect

Yes, our engines are fine up there..
although, it is best to shift slightly before 7100, it just helps not hitting the fuel cut off during power shifting which will cause lag in acceleration..
Jason... just wondering to know... what sort of ECU will get the Rev limiter to work a bit higher than 6600rpm? I know the fuel that you guys use are different from what we have here in Australia (98 Octane), so I suppose that I cannot use the ECU that you guys are tallking about just to raise the rev limiter, correct?

250 modena, nice car but severly low on power for a ferrari. has anyone run deal's gap, north carolina yet? i did it sunday morning. if you haven't, go! www.tailofthedragon.com go with all your marbles and a huge set of *****! look at the map. it doesn't even compare to driving it. people were complementing me on the exhaust. said they heard it coming through the turn and were waiting to see what it was. RIDE THE DRAGON!
