Default kinetix V+ with mrev2 and 5/16 comments please!

hello everyone,

this may be a very "noobish" question;

has anyone ran the kinetix V+ plenum WITH the 5/16 motordyne spacer and an mrev-2 with the rev-up 05-06 motors? reason i ask is im going to get uprev soon and cant find much on this subject. i currently have a "rev-up" with

stillen-intake z tube, 5/16th spacer and mrev-2, kinetix HFCs HR-Y and magnaflow muffler. any comments thoughts are appreciated thanks!

I thought those kinetix plenums were prone to cracking?! Idk. Sounds like all that could be a good combo to get the car to breathe a bit better.

the new kinetix don't crack.

Putting a spacer on a plenum is redundant. And sorry my friend, you didn't research enough, there is ton of threads on this.

spacer and mrev is all you need. peace.

Hello fellow Z owners. I just installed a kinetix ssv and my check engine light came one after test driving the car. I am thinking that now that there is more air flowing evenly that the ecu can't figure out what is going on. Should I get a reflash done? has anyone else come across this problem?

NA mods aren't going to make much of a difference at all until tuned. Once you're finished with your bolt ons and get a tune, it'll come down to the weakest choke point & how aggressive of a tune (how close your ignition timing is to max torque or knock). Even in a best case scenario, bolt on NA mods will not make a huge difference in dyno results.

Suspension, light wheels & weight reduction will give you more bang for your buck than NA breather bolt on mods. Best bet is do NA bolt on mods for the fun & sound difference they give you versus expecting results from a power perspective.

If you want power, save up and go FI, as long as you realize that you'll be moving the slider further away from reliable and closer to moar powah.

If you have a CEL showing after installing a part, check to make sure you connected everything back up correctly. You most likely didn't reconnect a sensor, the throttle sensor, MAF, etc.

If you think that you have everything connected properly, check your CEL code with an ODB2 reader. If you don't have one, go to a Pep boys, AutoZone, AdvanceAuto, and they will read the code for you. The code will tell you exactly what is happening. Without knowing what code is being thrown, you're throwing a wad of money at a wall hoping that some of it will stick.

Argee.

If a new upper plenum is good, and a spacer is good, than a plenum plus spacer must be better.

Does not work that way. We have seen the results of various spacers (5/16 inches, 1/2 inches). The results are different - not necessarily better. More upper plenum volume is not necessarily better.

Don't buy the mods for HP. If anything buy them for engine response since that is the only thing really seems to change...slightly. The HP figures are trivial.

It's like sprinkling your dinner plate with salt and then being worried about getting one more grain of salt onto the plate. The difference that NA blot on mods make alone is negligible.

I just started tonight's episode. Last night was rough. I think that I'm going to change several of the rules to "Sip" instead of "Drink"

Ok, so now that I've done enough thread jacking...

OP:
Get the JWT Popcharger if you want a cool sound - cool whistle at 40% throttle and throaty sound at WOT
