Shouldn't pipes that are more straight such as those 'long tube headers' supposed to be a little less restrictive?

the overall length of the piping and the way the pipes are stepped in diameter and merge together are what makes a header more or less effective vs a stock unit. They can achieve this length in different configuratins depending on the space they need to fit in. The straighter nature of a long tube design should allow for less overall heatsoak into the engine bay however

i got a friend who installed Inchiba headers. He gained approx 10whp after 5k rpm. Lost a few hp's on lower RPM's. No cams. Just the usual intake/headers/HFC/Catback setup.

I recently got TopSpeed headers since i've got JWT C2 Cams. Im hoping to get good results after the tune.

I would like to know because if so I would be fine adding some generic brand headers to my car.
Your question applies to any market or venue. R&D, materials, craftsmanship, reputability, and demand are all common attributes that affect price/value. The common motto, "you get what you pay for" usually holds true, but do not be fooled by brand names and marketing. Sometimes a company can jack up the price of a product, not because of the things listed above, but because their brand is so well known or in such high demand. Then again, "brand name" companies usually have the resources required to develop a superior product. The tricky part is identifying such things and making the appropriate purchase based on the level of quality/value you specify.

Momentum Performance has dyno testing with our headers, intake and exhaust,

Graph (below) shows from stock 350z, to Intake and exhaust, to IHE. All utilizing Momentum Performance Parts.

These are TRUE equal length and high flow collector is why they perform well. We have seen 20whp gains when switching from stock header to Momentum header kit when installed with Momentum Performance Turbo kit.

Anytime you change any parts from your intake (piping & filter) or exhaust (o2 sensors forward), always tune the vehicle. Headers will not show gains if any without a tune.

Crawford headers are by far the best IMO for 03-06. Best overall power gains.
