Default Bassani

Quick question:

Why doesn't anyone talk about the Bassani exhaust anymore? Did they stop making it or something? I had my eyes on it for a long time because I wanted to make my car sound the way it looks without getting too obnoxious. For whatever reason an aftermarket exhaust around here automagically means I want to race... so I don't want to be heard from a mile away. Exhaust clips don't help much since 9 times out of 10 it was taken with a crappy camera. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can find this exhaust for sale for about $1,000. If you like it get yourself one.

I have a Bassani on my 05 with Berk HFCs. It is not obnoxious at all unless I get on it. I drove with my boss yesterday down the turnpike, 2 hrs down, 2hrs back, and we held a conversation the whole time no drone at all (got pulled over for my tint but thats another story).
My installer said it was a fairly easy install and was impressed with the quality of it.
My .02 hope it helps

I had it for around 50k miles. I loved the exhaust. Not loud at all unless you got on the pedal. No drone at highway speeds. Not a high-pitched exhaust- more of a deep rumble.

Imagine the 350z stock exhaust, just amplified- and without the high-pitched high end. I thoroughly recommend it.

Pre-HFC it made the best sound. HFC's made it raspy between 3-4K but made a little more powa.

Thank you for the replies! I contacted a couple places that sell it and asked if they had the single-wall tips or the newer resonated and rolled tips. No response

people stopped talking about it bcs its old news. It was all the hype couple years ago back when its only competition was borla, hks, and nismo. more exhausts came out since then. Plus it kinda looks ugly on the car (i ran basssani for 2yrs and nismo stune now).

basssani is imo the best sounding exhaust when installed with HFC or resonated test pipes. Just make sure its resonated test pipes or else it will sound like crap.

I ordered mine from lmpperformance.com emailed them about three weeks ago to see if they had the revised version. Got an answer which said they did but did not have in stock. They told me I could still place order and they would drop ship to me directly from bassani. I went ahead and ordered last Friday on 06/24 I didn't receive a tracking number till this Friday on 07/01 saying it should be here on Thursday 07/07 but who knows because of 4th of July. Exhaust is being shipped from Cali to deep South Texas. I'll post again once I receive it, exhaust was 985 free shipping .

Id go as far as saying its the sexiest sounding exhaust for the 350z. every other exhaust keeps that vq noise/tone but deepens it dramatically and increases the volume. the bassani somewhat keeps the vq sound but distorts the hell out of it and makes it sound like a v8. i almost wanna say it makes it sound exotic.

yes its installed already . Now to my opinion on the Bassani exhaust. Shipping I am content with took Lmpperfomance two weeks. Installation: the guys at the shop made it look like a piece of cake, took less than an hour. I have to admit I have mixed emotions about the sound, I was expecting it to be louder, however it does sound better than stock IMO and I guess the exhaust not being to loud is also good, it would probably get annoying. Note seems to be deeper than stock in the low rpm's up to 3x sounds a tad more ballsy. Once I went over 3x is where I really noticed the difference. I have to mention all this is just from me inside the car, I haven't had the chance to hear it from the outside. I didn't hear any rasp or bothersome drone. Performance wise, I wasn't expecting a huge difference, I think I pretty much got what I expected as in "feel" I don't have actual #'s. Car seems to be more responsive when hitting the gas. This might sound exaggerated but I feel like I'm having to give it less gas to maintain my usual speeds, rpm slightly lower than before. I guess if I am right and its not the "placebo" effect this would result in better mileage which I would not mind at all . The only slight issue I have is the smell the exhaust is giving, can't really describe it other than new exhaust smell lol which I think will go away with use as its broken in. Another issue but not with the exhaust is that my car sputtered on two occasions right after turning it on, something it had never done. I'm thinking that's caused by ECU trying to compensate for the mods since they affect the A/F ratio but not sure any advice is appreciated. My current setup is Motordyne 5/16 spacer, knn short ram intake with a TiTeK air duct and throttle body spacer, and just added the bassani exhaust. Back to Bassani, Bassani=win for me I'm happy.

Rather than create another thread I will just update my review of the bassani exhaust. Well I'm still in love with the sound. I heard my car cruising from the outside for the first time, I let a member from my local car team drive my car(something I don't like doing and only reason I did is because he drives a Z as well so i trust him) well he cruised around the park at our meet and I have to say exhaust sounds sexy not ricey loud, more of a deep mix of muscle and exotic, clean sound you can tell its not stock . I also did a trip to Houston this past weekend, no drone got more noise from my tires. I seem to have gotten also a mile or two more mpg and that's cause the temp in Texas is f***** hot.

Finally buckled down and bought this thing. I was tossing around the idea of trying the Exoticspeed... just seemed to risky to me. I didn't get to do much driving yet with my new Bassani exhaust, but we were able to do the install in about an hour and a half, and it sounds awesome!

I might try adjusting it a little bit in the future, if you really look close it seems to be shifted to the left some. I don't know if spinning one of the mid-pipes a little would fix that or not.

Money well spent! Had ours for over a year now. Noticed that it got a tick louder, but still sounds awesome!
