O2 Oxygen Sensor - does the side matter?
I recently swapped my cats and during the install, accidentally put the left O2 sensor on the right and the right sensor on the left. (the wiring is now crossed. It seemed the connectors were side specific, as I couldnt get the new right one to fit the right connector).
Anyone know if that causes a problem?

I've answered my own question. Got couple of error codes P1284 and P1273. I got the sensors swapped back and made sure everything was tightened down. But then after 15 miles of driving those error codes came back.
I reset the codes once more and after another 15 some miles they back again! I doubled checked all sensors and checked for exhaust/intake leaks. Reset the code once more.
Its been about 40 miles now and no code, but concerned it'll be back.
Anyone know if old codes linger around in the ECU and it just keeps throwing them for awhile? Or maybe I just need to drive some more miles before the ecu picksup the new sensor readings??
