Default advice on exhaust for boost

Hi,

I hope this is the right forum for a boosted/turbo question on exhaust, I didnt see anything on the turbo area about exhausts really.

Here my information and dilemma.

Currently have a built engine with cams/port etc. and I just purchased a brand new greddy 18g turbo kit.

My current exahust set up is
kinetix HFC, with borla true dual with magnaflow x pipe
( I have a g35 sedan so I dont have any many options as you guys)

It is bascially 2.25 inch all the way from headers to end of the car.

I wanted to see what you all recommended to do.

First off I am very scared to run catless here in cali.
If I were to keep my cats, where would I have my dump tubes re routed? back at the y? or would it be better bet to get test pipes and have it routed there?( I dont think you can route it in to the HFC correct?)

also I was thinking about relocating the cat further back like some of the motordyne set ups so I can run test pipes as well as recirculate the dump tubes back in to them.

I figure having one less cat and that it is further back would flow better than two cats close up.

Aside from the cat/dump issue,
would you recommend for me to get bigger true dual? like maybe 2.5 inch possibly 3.( and would the HFC be the main restriction and size doesnt matter past them?

or just get one huge single 3.5 ( not sure if 4 can fit)

Thanks, I want to do my best to maximize my horse power will going boost, but want to stay somewhat legal, lol.

but if you guys things its most cost efficent to keep it how I have it now, let me know..

i am dont want to spend money if there is value and its worth it other wise id rather save my time/money to do other things on the car.

Unless you get something like black said, I don't know what anyone makes for the sedan though, custom extenders?

If you are running on a built motor, I'm assuming that you are going to get the most power you can, so obviously a larger exhaust is going to help with that.

The 18g kit comes with adapters that are designed to route the gates pre-cat. I wouldn't run cats because you damage them over time.

Either get test pipes or get custom downpipes.

i havent see anyone make a 3 inch td for the sedan, i currently am on borla true dual sounds great and did a good job,
but its only 2.25 each piping.

I dont plan to run crazy boost, maybe just 10 lbs. due to my compression.

does routing the cats futher back help with more power and them not dieing as easy? I was assuming that if I can re do it after the Y, or after the y bend for the duals would help with the flow plus at least be smog legal in cali in the fact of still having cats( not talking about passing actual smog test, and assuming the cops dont know about the turbo)
