guys that can "smell" their tps must be working k9 for the police. Iv been running tps since iv owned my 1st Z almost 5 years ago
Back ot, Why did you guys create your own HFC? was it bc of multiple complaints with the hiss? Ill admit it though vid posted def sounds good. Would love to hear tps to really open it up
ARK Performance, please follow through with this, as I am sure there are others that have the same problem as I, where we want performance gains, but do not want to sacrifice sound/smell/legality/our wallets.

i was gonna pull the trigger on kinetix hfc or maybe even berks. but once i saw this thread im pretty much sold and gonna wait for ARK hfc.
Hiss and Rasp is normal..... I used to think it was something bad, but Ive heard it on a variety of cars with exhaust upgrades. maybe I'm confused, but IS THERE a benefit to eliminating hiss/rasp

Yes, so you do not HEAR it! ARK is suggesting that they are developing a clean-sounding HFC. It is an audible benefit, plus the added power increase of HFC's.

Eager for updates as well!
I hear it A little bit. I believe you with it being there. I have the hiss/rasp on mine as well. Started back when ik put on the TDE. Got more noticable as I upgraded the rest of my exhaust. Mainly on rev deceleration. What does eliminating this benefit tho???
who wants to hear rasp and hiss when its not suppose to be there?
so its just an audible benefit?! I guess thats pretty cool
You say the rasp/hiss is not suppose to be there, then how come it is there normally?? and why did it his when I had the OEM cats on and just a TDE?? just asking...

cause the TDE is aftermarket. does stock cats and exhaust hiss/rasp?... nope lol

Your absolutley right, but OEM's are more restrictive with air flow, so that's probably why you don't hear it, that's why we buy Aftermarket. Has anybody thought that hiss/rasp might not be the cats.
I'm not knocking the product, just trying to understand more. What is this product gonna have/do that the other HFC's don't... otther than sound??
I have a HR with Berk HFC's and HATE the hiss/rasp. I am definitely switching to anything that can eliminate these common issues. The only solution I have found is Fast Intentions' resonated high flow cats, but the price makes them unreasonable. Are you trying to sell something similar at a cheaper price?
Ok...this is where I was at and I'm about to finally pull the trigger.
Ya want an HFC that doesn't *HISS N DRONE*
That's me..ART pipes are out...don't want smell I would like the possibility of passing a sniffer if required. Besides...I wanna be a *grown up* and avoid gross pollution. OK...so now what? Ya think the FI RESONATED fits the bill? Sure does. OK price..it's about $200 more than Berks standard and most others. Pricy..yeah...BUT...WTF? If you're gonna have to live with this for say 3-5yrs...what's another $200??? Think about it. I'm going for the FI resonated, unless ARK can up with something EQUAL to this for less.
We want to bring the 350z market the best HFC. One of the main issue on the boards was hiss and rasp. We engineered our HFC to eliminate just that. In addition, to creating less harmful gases from leaving your tailpipes, we simply want an HFC that will out-perform the stock cats while maintaining that sweet VQ tone that everyone loves so much.
