Borla's are cheepest but show the least amount of gains of all the headers...
So far I like the NISMO's best...
XERD's are cool but completely get rid of the cats and no option for high flow cats...

You want headers - buy Crawfords.
NISMOs are great quality - but weren't thought out when it came to MAXIMUM performance. They were throw-togethers that were made to fit, flow better than stock, and get into the market rapidly.
The Crawfords on the otherhand have over a year of development - and the difference of gains are HUGE!
You tell me when ones look like they flow better?
NISMO - Solid construction - shorty pipes.
CRAWFORD - Nice long equal tubes - Smooth Bends

Go talk to ANYONE that is big into headers - they will tell you TWO THINGS. Longer IS BETTER - but there are such things as too long. You won't lose HP getting too long, but you will stop making torque. Per the XERDs - Nice HP gain, no torque!
Crawfords has the balance of both worlds. HUGE gains in HP up top... MASSIVE gains of torque downlow!
If you do headers, do them right the first time.

Good luck this year btw.
Another header option coming soon.
While walking through Stillen's shop with Steve Millen last Thursday he pointed out an interesting set of mandrel bent "shorty" headers for the 350Z/G35. Steve said they make excellent torque as well as horsepower. He wouldn't provide numbers as the commercial version has not been dynoed. The headers will be available in ceramic coated carbon steel and stainless. Rumor has it that the ceramic version will be around $800 and the stainless will run near $1000.
That's all I know right now. For more info I suggest e-mailing or calling Adam@Stillen.com or 1.800.711.4126 x-138 or your sales guy. (For those who don't have a sales guy, the first one you talk to is yours forever - PM me for more info)
