Motordyne 370z (((SHOCK WAVE))) Exhaust REVIEW
Finally I got the Motordyne 370z exhaust.
I do have a few pictures I’ll share and a few clips as well. So far the car has the ART pipes and the exhaust installed that will be included in the video that I will show. The install is easy, basic tools and basally connect all the parts together. The only thing I had difficulties was installing the tips, I just got to have them completely centered, so you might need a second pair of eyes to help guide your install of the tips and the exhaust as well.
Now I’m only comparing the exhaust too stock…..
Cold Start: It is laud, you can feel the when inside of the car and the tone changes when the car warms up.
The exhaust is aggressive but drivable for those who daily drive Z’s. The only thing that I would warn anyone that installs this Shockwave exhaust is, as soon as you punch it, it will SCREAM!!!! Very aggressive and the tone is crisp and clear…..No rasp and especially no drone….well a little drone in lower RPM’s..
When driving the car, on daily driving, the car seems almost as stock, meaning no vibrations, nothing harsh for the ears and very livable to drive with. When getting on the freeway, you can tell the change of the exhaust tone and feel, when shifting the gears, the tone towards the transition is clear and sound is very addicting you constantly want to step on it all the time…
I have not driven the car to the track yet or done canyon runs as of yet, this is me driving it day to day running errands, going to school and going to work.
The exhaust itself is built high quality and looks amazing, I can compare it to the high end JDM exhaust out there. The welds are rainbow colored and looks amazing….
So far, I think the exhaust is great, way better over sock and peddle feel is a lot different as well, you will notice that right off the back, not sure because I removed the cats, but having the M370 manifold, art pipes and complete exhaust, the peddle feel is a lot different, can’t necessarily describe it to you guys but feels a lot responsive.
Tony@Motordyne, has been great to help me on the install, and has answered all my questions in regards to the parts available for the 370z and his customer service has always been great.
I will do more reviews in regards to the exhaust, will do DYNO runs to see where the car is at, will run some track sessions and runs some Southern California canyons….

This is my friends April G37S with the Shockwave Exhaust……It has the stock cats on….
It's the Enthusiast Edition. There is also a track version of the exhaust. I did get 3 different tips and it’s all customizable. 2 rolled up tips including the Burnt tip, also the straight lips for daily driving.
Not sure when I will do a dyno run….soon I hope. I will be doing more videos for you guys to hear and more pictures as well.
I have done previous dyno runs, I will try to find the info I have and post it up for when the car was bone stock.

Not sure if you have contacted TONY@ Motordyne directly, But these exhaust systems are on back order, BUT you will not regret it, I have installed a few of them for friends an they become addicted to punching the throttle, that sounds just makes you smile.

^well put about punching the throttle; it really is tough to not punch it at least a couple of times even 1/2 pedal every time you drive it. I'm glad I got mine when I did a couple of yrs. ago; only had to wait about a week, but the "new" waiting list says a lot about what you guys are about to recieve! I can't wait either to read your reviews about your new MD exhausts!
