Had my intake off for too long... I need some cold air again, but without the risk of hydrolock!
So I'm asking this - to the people that have put an air bypass valve on your Injen Intake, where did you put it along the pipe? I heard the further from the filter it is the less risk of hydrolocking. If you have pictures of your setup, that'd help a lot too.
Thanks

i am wondering this as well. I just got an Injen CAI for christmas and installed it over the weekend. Right now it doesn't rain a lot because it's winter, but here in Florida it always rains so i want to be safe. I would rather cut the silicone pipe rather than the aluminum one, in case i mess up and have to replace, i'm guessing the silicone one is less expensive, and that way water won't get to the MAF sensor if it gets in.

I have a feeling that the short ram would sacrice more of the measely 6 hp gain than the bypass valve would. I'd rather add on an air bypass valve to be honest.

the two wont work together, the injen is a much larger pipe diameter than the aem. i know the aem is 2.75 injen is like 3.5". dont worry about the rain i live in florida and have had mine on almost a yeat. what you need to watch for is the puddles. the injen will not hydro lock unless you submerge it.
