HELP!! Fitting a Bassani exhaust from a G35 on my Z
I need help please! I just purchased a used bassani exhaust from a g35 coupe and cant find anywhere on how much of the midpipe i need to cut in order for it to fit on my Z. This exhaust does not have the bolt on extensions for the G either so it has to be cut. If anyone has experienced this problem let me know. Thanks!

Judging by the instructions, it looks like the only thing longer are the muffler tail pipes for the G. The installation instructions are exactly the same. It's the parts and number of parts that are different. The G kit has 4 2-1/2" band clamps while the Z only has 3.
I wonder if there's a way to adjust the length at the mid pipe section so your parts line up properly. I read that if you don't have it perfectly installed, there's a lot of rattling issues.

You'll need to cut and shorten both mid pipes between where they mount to the X pipe and the resonator. That is the only section that looks like it is parallel to the centerline of the car.
The problem you could run into is if those pipes aren't parallel to the centerline… that's because when you shorten it, the two pipes may not line up for mounting to the X pipe. I suggest finding a very good welder that has experience with exhausts, because there is a small chance that he may have to fabricate a bend to make it match up right.
