Those with straight pipes read
Those who have test pipes on, have you got a code yet? List miles also if you did get a code did it throw your car in limp mode? or what did you do to clear the code? I think im ready to straight pipe my Z.. My other car had straight pipes and I got a code but it didn't hurt the performance of the car just the annoying check engine light was always on.
Thanks In advance

I haven't got a code. Check engien light went away after about 300 miles.
I wouldn't recommend the straight pipe though. The sound is annoying. I thought I could handle the annoying sound so I slapped it on, but it's so annoying I want to take it off now.
I recommend high flow cats or straight pipes w/resonaters. Those seem to flow just as well w/o the annoying noise.

Mike what exhaust do you have now?CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD SOUND CLIP
I have gutted cats, no light and no annoying sound, but I have heard if you get the test pipes jet-hotted or wrap them with header wrap, the raspiness will not be there. The header wrap seems like an inexpensive thing to try.
