Just installed CNT HFCs (I have a Stillen y-pipe and Nismo S-tune exhaust as well) yesterday and there is a hissing under acceleration. Checked over and over, no exhaust leaks. Oh and the alignment on the HFCs and catalytic converter bracket was terrible, had to bend it to get it to fit right... I'm worried I'm going to have some cracked cats in the future...

CNT do offer a one year limited warranty and if the cats fail they will be replace. But I can rest assure you the chance of this happening is rare.

So I was wrong, the hissing under acceleration is an exhaust leak. I found out that the flanges are either warped from welding or just bent by almost 1/8 of an inch, so even with the gaskets the exhaust leak is inevitable. Will CNT replace these cats? Because this is absolutely terrible quality. See attached picture (a straight edge was placed on the flange to show the uneven surface causing the exhaust leak). Apparently I'm not the only one who has had experiences like this. Over on the 370z forum, there are more than a few similar cases.

And I tried contacting CNT directly, early this morning and no one has gotten to me yet...

Default 350z HFC flange

This is a statement release from ERZ Industries/CNTracing which in respond to the comment by mleroux

We had been selling the these HFC for the 350z/G35 or 370z/G37 for the past few years. Prior to your inquiry we did have ONE other customer a few months back that reported the same situation to us in his 370z HFC. The issues that they both had with the HFC is just one of the flange does not seem to be completely flat and was concern of a possible exhaust leak.

Base on the picture, the gap is located at the edge of the flange which is where the bolt is located at. First of all, this is something you will find with not just CNT racing products, even with major brand (which I don't want to name) exhaust system or downpipes or HFC. The reason is cause by the heat while welding the flange onto the piping. Just imagine what will happen if you fire up a grill and once it get hot enough. You'll put a long but thin piece of metal on top of the grill. What will happen? Both end of the metal will start bending upward and eventually it will become more and more like a u shape. So it is common to have a non-perfect flat flange around the bolt area. As long as the inner area where the piping is flat which in this case it is, once the gasket is being use and bolt on tightly. It will seal up the so call "gap". That's pretty much what the purpose of gasket is for. Is to seal up any possible uneven surface for common flanges.

Bottom line, we have extreme confident with any products that we put out in the market and will give warranty to any product if the warranty apply. All we had been doing for the past 10 years is to offer consumer with great product at a very affordable price. Everyone is entitle to their own opinion. True we had a couple of this sort of complaint about this product, but on the other hand we had gotten many great review from customer who love the same HFC. At the end, all we could do is try our best and help the customer out even if we have to take the unit back for a refund. So the customer had been granted for a full refund upon of the arrival of the return HFC already.

Define rough? You're leaving a lot on the table without the tune. I ran HFC CNT w/o a tune for some time and the car drove fine... just missed out on 30ft-lb of torque. This of course applies to all HFC and Test Pipes and not just CNT's HFC. CNT were just the cheapest at the time but boy am I paying for it. These bad boys hiss like nobody else's business.
