Throttle Body Gasket
Hey Guys,
Apologies for such a minor question but thought I'd to ask for a peace of mind. My mechanic took apart my throttle body today to replace one of the camshaft position sensors. When all is done, I noticed that the throttle body gasket is installed incorrectly. There are 3 "tabs" that should be pointing left, right and down. However, it is installed upside down leaving the top part with a little tab sticking out.
I've been looking at pictures of the throttle body and intake manifold connection and it looks like the throttle body gasket shouldn't be a big deal as it looks to form a seal in all directions. I can take it back to the mechanic, but ripping apart the throttle body is a bit of a pain and I'd rather not mess with this unless I have to. Car seems to run/idle perfectly fine like this.
Just wondering if this is a critical fix or if I'm overreacting a bit.
Thanks in advance!
