Default Exhaust help, please

Just got my new exhaust setup. Got Berk HFC's and Borla 2.5 TD Cat back. I remember reading somewhere on here that there's a loss of power in the low end and I'm experiencing that. Almost a hesitation when I get on it a low revs. I see online that there's an ECU reset where you do a bunch of pedal maneuvers. Will that help? I'm sure there's no replacement for a tune, but I may go FI in the near future and will wait to drop the money on a tune until the turbo gets added. Was just looking for something to help over the next few months.

if you really, truly are planning on going FI in the "near" future then this situation is an easy one to solve. I suggest either doing an ECU reset and see how your car feels afterwards, although if you're loss of power is due to you mods you won't make a difference, or sell your borla and/or HFC, and use that money to put into your savings for FI. IMO, the second option is best.

If you alter the intake or exhaust it will alter the dyno. How? Without a before and after dyno I don't know. The ECU reset is overrated. If fact the ECU will figure out on its own that the exhaust is different. Just give it some time.

You could possibly be running very lean. A tune will be 500-800ish, depending where you go. Basically just left with, if definitely going FI, then wait. If just talking about it and probably not, then get the tune, you will run much better, regain that power loss, and probably gain about 20-30whp in the end.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the input. It does feel like it's running lean until about 3000 rpm, then there's lots of power (more than before the mods). I'll give it a little more time to see if the ECU learns. By going FI "soon" I mean like in a month or two (just waiting on my shop to finish a few kits). The turbo service includes fuel injectors, fuel pump and a tune, so I didn't want to drop the 600 now and than another 100-200 for the retune later.
