KN Filter on stock box prob makes more that this mod.

I did this when I was younger and when the car was shittier. Would not dream of doing this to a Z. You should elevate the quality of the mods. You "should" have gotten so intercooler piping, cut it, heat wrapped it and stuck a KN cone at the end. THAT might have gotten you 1/4 of the praise you were looking for. Live and learn

I do realize that the filter needs to be dropped down further to prevent heat soaking.

I plan on doing this tonight. Another extension and a curved pipe should be the right length to get it far enough away.

Okay, since I've made a laughable mistake, who wants to point me in the right direction as far as the pipe material, filter and where to buy?

Any ideas are appreciated.
