People will buy what they want. This site is to provide information and feedback.

Back to the topic. There are many different replica HKS, Im sure they all bolt together differently so it may not fit like mine. I am probably lucky for getting such a quality made replica. I absolutely love the look and sound of this exhaust! All you can do is cross your fingers when ordering anything replica. Brand name, you know what you'll get, QUALITY. Replica, Hit or Miss...

I agree with this. I paid 450 for mine rather than the normal 250-350 because I knew this guy had some nice stuff. (Ordered test pipes from him, beautiful welds)

Honestly, who cares what or where people buy their stuff , as long the person is happy with their purchase there's no need to question or critize them

Most older used Z's now are priced really low. That explains why a lot of people are buying "cheaper" parts. It's all proportional, one cannot expect someone who paid $6000 for a vehicle to install $3-4000 wheels. I know where not talking about wheels but it's just an example. I have a replica body kit though I just couldn't justify paying a lot of money for something that did nothing but look nice so I went with replicas .

Of course only a couple weeks after posting on this, one of the resonators is going out. The packing is starting to rattle around... Great! Well know I can save up for a real nice MD Shockwave!

Yea it was great for the year I have owned it! If I knew where the previous owner bought it I would probably buy another until I can save 5 times it for the MD Dual. I wanted wheels next, looks like that will be pushed back yet again.

i think you guys miss the big picture. big companys put a lot of r&d in to their products. knock off companies copy their design and sell it at a fraction due to cheaper material and cheaper labor, 99% being a improper fit.

would you rather support the company that did the r&d and puts out a top notch product or buy a cheap knock off and support the company that rip off someone else.

there is a reason why they stop making stuff. im sure knock off are a big part of it.

i rather support companies like motordyne and plan on getting there full exhaust set up.

They didn't technically copy. In order not violate patent designs, you have to change 20% of the design and function. This company that I bought from did just that. Plus, it fit pert near perfect. And sounds and works amazing. I am in favor of supporting companies, but when I'm broke, I'm in support of supporting my wallet first.

How much does plasti-dipping cost? How well does it hold up
