Are you kidding me, have you ever heard of WedsSort or Advan? I'm not bashing on you for buying reps. I am just pointing out your signature represents knock-offs, and you are against that right?

Like I said earlier TopSpeed makes a great HKS Rep! There will always be a knock-off, replica, or generic version of anything! Dont plan on being original if you dont want to be copied.

One can for every wheel. So 4 cans @ $5.96 each. So about $25-$30. Takes about an hour to do yourself. Plasti-dip holds up bettter than paint if you just leave it alone and hand wash it. I swear by this stuff. I have plasti-dipped over 10 pieces on my car and it comes in every color of the rainbow. You can get matte black at home depot and the other colors online. How I must issue a warning. PLASTI DIP CAN BECOME VERY ADDICTIVE.

I take the off. And yes, you can peel it off at anytime.

Please chill with the name calling. Argue your point instead of attacking the person. OP, you have a PM.

Posts cleaned up.

Carry on...

How did this go from an exhaust review to a thread about plastidip?

I only say this because i made the mistake of buying this exhaust when first purchased my Z a few years back and it all happened to me. As soon as i saved up enough I immediately threw it away and went with the real HKS system.

Although it looks and sounds nice I can't consider it an upgrade from stock exhaust unless all you wanted was sound. Its better to save those 400-600$ or whatever you spent on the fake and in a few months when you have another few hundred to go with trustworthy and proven brands.

Just my .02 cents for anyone interested in getting this.
Fake stuff don't belong on Zs.

Well Put i learned the hard way. avoid CX lighting My story below
i got my kit it looked nice but didnt fit. the Y pipe was way to narrow as seen here

I called their "customer support" to try and get the Y pipe switched out. Kevin Xie is the owner this was his reply to the pic i sent and why it wont fit
is because it wasnt flipped properly. Trying to speak logic to him that it didnt fit was a waste of time. so was speaking with "Ace" (which he is not) about the issue.

so i had to spend another $290 to get a custom fitment to match the rest of the kit.

these guys couldnt give to ***** about their customers and if you buy from them you are chancing what i just went through with them.

here is a pic of the complete kit

why did i waste time reading this thread lol
its funny how the op and everyone else who is rocking the replica is defending it so dearly. yep thats what happens when you go cheap and put a cheap replica exhaust on your car. there's a reason for the price difference being so great for a reputable performance exhaust as opposed to these replicas. brand name exhausts are each made with time and precision so you get the best fit, sound, and if any hp gains. replicas on the other hand are made as quick as possible so they can mass produce and sell. they are not looking to perfect their craft since they are not reputable (no reputation to lose) and they know they are selling cheap product. im really suprised these exhausts even last over a year. oh well its not my car so who am i to judge lol. i just would never ruin a Z with a ebay exhaust...that sounds really ricer like to me
