Default PPE Longtube Headers

Just wanted to get the word out that RDZ Motorsports is now a proud distributor for PPE Engineering. Figured I would post a quick rundown of these pieces of art.

The PPE long tube headers are designed for maximum power. Two versions are available. One designed for the 07-08 HR motor and one for the older 350Z engines.

The 2003-2006 350Z design incorporates 1.75"OD tube runners with CAD optimised tube lengths. Our headers offer a race proven merge collector that exits at 2.25" and transitions to 2.5".

JetHot ceramic coatings are recommended and add good looks along with thermal barrior properties that increase power and lower engine bay temps. They are also a great protection against corrosion.

Features:

Tuned, equal length runners
3/8" thick laser cut flanges
Mandrel bent 16 gauge tubing
Runners are welded with Silicabronze at the head flange
Porting at flanges
Flat sanded head flanges
JetHot ceramic coatings
warranty ! ! ! !

The race headers replace the stock catalytic converters.

So I was running DC headers and AAM test pipes on the hill climb NA car and ended up speaking to Paul over at PPE. After a few conversations he was on board with our Gear Up "9/11 Brotherhood foundation" RDZ Motorsports Hill climb project. Anyway the headers arrived and we ripped into tearing out the old and in with the new. Install was straight forward everything bolts up with ease minus the two o2 censors. All you need to do is simply extend the 4 wire harness 24" and your golden. I would recommend a dei shield or equivalent just as an added insurance. Anyway let's get to the good stuff !

We will be tuning next week or the week after for some numbers so stay tuned !

Other thread was locked due to it's awesomeness and they just wanted us to switch it over so it was under the RDZ Vendor name.

i'd still like to know if they addressed possible fitment issues on the revup motors with a different steering rack on the DE version...

me too. ive been following the ppe prototype thread on driver and have been eager to jump on a set. i just want to see a few more installs and dynos go completely smoothly before i pull the trigger myself. ive got a grand set aside for these at the moment. i think thats about the cost. does anyone know for sure?

^- Glad I'm not the only one. I've been trying to compare just from photos, SG's to PPE's and they look like they merge around the same area. Looks promising, but I'll wait for an official installation/confirmation.

the lack of solid gains over a wide range in the powerband is what has steered most bolt on de guys away from headers for a long time. from what ive seen with the dynos on the ppe headers on driver, the ppe longtubes might prove well worth it! looking forward to the dyno session on another car for sure...

Do you have a dyno with the DC headers/test pipe combo to compare to? These are the non-stepped headers correct? I've also been following the thread on G35driver where the stepped headers showed some low end losses, which was corrected by the non-stepped headers. I'd really like to see similar results on a DE with stock cams though.

Exclamation

Sorry guy's we have been crazy busy at the shop. Anyway hopefully next week I'll be able to get down to our other shop and get some dyno time. As it stands right now the install was super straight forward took a total of 4 hours on a lift. Fitment was dead on ! We did a BS base tune on the car the other day and it now feels and pulls like BEAST

For everyone interested in PPE feel free to toss a call at RDZ Motorsports we are pushing the Nissan line for PPE!

I'll hopefully have some driving gopro footage this weekend if it ever stops raining.

The last time the car was on the dyno was a dynojet and it made 274 "jets are know to make a lot more power the a more accurate mustang" will try to find the sheet and please lets not start with this being a numbers game haha Trust me these are worth the 1,100 and maybe we can do a group buy on here if we get enough guys interested. Start getting a list going

To me gains will sell this part quick! I'd be looking for a mildly tuned HR and DE. Discount the customer on the dyno time and installation of the part. Take good pics/vids and hopefully the gains are there.

In for more

Not sure this is new or that kind of offer will work, this isn't the manufacturer, it's a reseller.

It's the reseller but the manufacturer hasn't really put this product or themselves out to the 350Z crowd. They has come out and advertise to the 370Z folks. We do have one member running them but yet to have before and after numbers!
