Default wire driven TB?

hey
I'm not sure if this thread had already been out there, but well, I've been
desperately looking for an answer since I've been planning to do this for a while now
what are the pros and cons of switching to a wire driven TB?

Pros:
Easier to find a larger than stock throttle body, and I'm sure there are others

Cons:
Installation including needing a new TPS, No more factory Cruise Control, No more factory VDC or Traction Control, You might have to get an Idle Speed Motor and I'm sure there are more that I can't think of at the moment

Whats the reason behind your question? All 350's are drive by wire.
You can get larger throttle bodies or,modified ones.I have a Mine's
which is great. Also,a tune will allow adjustment of the throttle opening.
Are you referring to a mechanical linkage vs electronic?
If done correctly an electronic system intergrates everything together
to get the best performance.Case in point, don't know too many of the supercars that
do not use electronic systems.

yes, I'm looking for a "ridiculous sized" wire driven TB, and unfortunately
can't find something else rather than wire driven
I don't have cruise control since my z is a 06 base, I don't like cruise control
anyway and the base model gives me a more sporty feel :P
I don't think mine comes with VDC nor traction control so I won't have to deal with this really, and right, where can I get a proper TPS?

you mean an IAC? is there any stand alone out there has a built in one?
I'd really appreciate your feedback ^^

I really fail to see the point sorry. It is a lot of work and money to convert to something that is not as efficient.

You can get some baller sized electric ones.

What are you doing to your car that would cause you to need an enormous throttle body?

Why do you think that a cable driven throttle body would provide any advantage over an electronic one?

If you're so set on this, get your mechanical one, connect your electric one from your current TB to the plate and get a tune to match it

Why go backwards in technology? That's like taking out a fuel injected engine for a carb'd engine or putting a DE motor in a HR

I don't think, I just need a bigger throttle body, if an ls motor electronic TB would fit to my manifold set up then I'd take that route, I might get my DE motor stroked/cammed so a bigger TB means more power gain no?
I'd really appreciate your input..

If you don't understand what this means, then you shouldn't be switching your TB over in the first place

well I'm willing to understand, just a little help if you don't mind, after all I'm still a piece of helplessness called a "rookie" who has some plans for a reasonably built na daily driven/dragster

That is a loaded question. You need the correct size. Too small OR too large will hurt performance.

Here is an interesting little write up: http://www.hipermath.com/engines/throttle_body_size
