Does anyone know where I can buy JUST a heat shield for it? I can't seem to find it no matter how or where I search.

Just a 50 to 60 degree difference in inlet temp, 3 HP loss every 10 degrees , very little difference I guess. The only time it does very little is while the car is at a standstill. Most of the time I drive my car , it's moving, so I couldn't care about the HP loss while it is sitting still or the first few yards when it starts moving again.

I think the tune is the key. Like he said stockbox, no tune. Short ram with tune better, add a heat shield in case or to "organize" your airflow. When the engine was hot the other day, I noticed the upper plenum was a lot hotter than the intake tube.

Your upper plenum will always be hot as hell, with a motordyne Iso gasket it makes it so you can almost hold onto it vs fry your fingers in a second. The heat that warms it up is actually from the eng block.
