Default Installed Kinetix Plenum, Couple Questions

Picked up a Kinetix plenum (used) installed it tonight and ran into a couple issues.

1. Never seen one before, so started installing when I realized the guy I bought it off of didn't give me the coolant passthrough attachment, so after checking out it's function which seems to just seems to be a a type of coupling, I ran down and picked up a 3/8 coupler and joined the two hoses. Is this okay? Seems it's unnecessary from a mechanical standpoint, but I could be wrong.

2. The guy also didn't give me any screws that go UNDER the plenum like I've seen in some go by's. The ones that would fill in the holes where the long stock screws are located on the top of the plenum, are those required for any mechanical reason?

Nevermind,

No bolts in lower plenum = no go

Bolts in lower plenum = Fantastico!!!

Glad Lowes carries the exact bolts required.

Still wondering about the coupler, but she's running fine..
