Ive already searched and can't find any threads pertaining to this, so here goes. Has anyone run the nismo s-tune catback and removed the resonator on the midpipe and replaced it with 3" piping to match the middy? Im running test pipes, soon to be xyz pipe with straight pipe, and want to remove the resonator on the s tune, but wanna see if anyone else has done so (im not worried about rasp). Its only about 15" long so im sure it would be cheap to have done by a shop.
I'm sure it can be done. However, its gonna be loud.
In addition,as with many guys fooling with their exhaust systems, keep in mind
Nismo S-tune(actually a Fujitsubu)is just that,a SYSTEM.There is more to
being an efficient system than eliminating components and enlarging the pipes.
You may actually loose power and gain...loud.I've got the same system with HFC's
Its comfortably loud.Just be careful.Opening up your exhaust to a certain extent
makes no sense unless you are FI.

the exhaust on the Z33 Nismo models is exactly the same as the stock HR exhaust except for the muffler part, so HKS makes that muffler or HKS makes the 350Z exhaust system? lol first time hearing this, kinda weird.

As far as sound, for me a quicker/faster car always sounds better
