First off, we all know Magnaflow exhausts are known to be straight through mufflers or from straight to Y shape exits. But what about this exahust?


Does this exhaust flow similar to our stock exhaust something like this


or does the magnaflow like an h shape flow like this?

 

Chambered like the Nismo exhaust, sounds really freaking nice, about like a Tanabe Hyper Medalian Touring , and sounds great with test pipes installed unlike Nismo.

It was my first choice in exhaust when i bought my car, ended up with the Tanabe instead (great deal)

Between the Magnaflow and Tanabe, those two would be high on my list for a DD where i just wanted a little more sound.

 

I never heard about Tanabe until a few minutes ago. It looks nice but its a little raspy for me.

Hmm how is the nismo is exhaust chambered? I do not see any pictures on google based on the flow of the exahust into the muffler. Is it based off the 2nd or 3rd pictures I just posted?

 

The Tanabe Hyper Mmedalian Touring is one of the least raspy exhausts on the mmarket, even with test pipes installed.

Havnt cut one of the exhausts apart.

 

Compared to the magnaflow, magnaflow sounds better but also Tanabe pipe is a little bigger than magnaflow, which is why I am getting the magnaflow version. I am just getting magnaflow based on the sound not the performance.

 

Magnaflow makes a different exhaust that you may want to consider. It replaces the stock Y pipe and runs a 3" diameter center section where the exhaust merges into one pipe. The Y pipe is also equipped with a large straight through resonator. it's so large I'm tempted call it an additional muffler. the larger tubing and straight through design should yield slightly higher HP gains. I have it on my car and really like it.

 

Dude I was talking about the other magnaflow, the one I posted above only that looks similar to stock. I mean it looks nice BUT it will require tune which I am noting going to do from previous experience.
