350z injen intake help
I recently recieved the injen rd1985p intake from a friend of a friend got it for twenty dollars so i was happy with it! installed it on the car and it sounded geat, but when i idled the car it would die especially if i had the ac on. found out what it was. basically on the new styles the vacuum hose connects where the stock one connects high on the intake. but on this certain intake model it conects low on the intake right next to the filter because im runnin it as a short ram and in front of the maf. in order to make the vacum hose reach this far the intake came with extra tubing and a connector. its called a difuser i believe and it has a filter inside of it when i went to blow on it it was very very hard to get air through. found out this is why the engine was dieing it was being restricted. my question is do you think if i run the tubing without the filter off the vacum hose in front of the maf if it will damage the sensor in any way i could always get a new filter but i feel like it would just run into this problem again and that is why in the new versions they put the vacum hose behind the maf and just like the stock they don't have filters on them. Any help would be appreciated and sorry for all the spelling errors but i'm rushin!
