Default Hydro Sheild? for AirFilters

Just wondering, has anyone used a hydro shield for the airfilters, it's suppose to prevent water from getting to it..
just another marketing scam or does it work?

I've got one on my AEM CAI, it still gets wet though when its raining, hell it wasnt even raining, the roads were just wet and it went into limp mode. Honestly i'd say dont worry about it.

That sounds like a plug for stock filters and intakes.

the hydro shield is for driving, of course it's not going to suck water in while washing your car. High pressure or not.

OP, I wouldn't worry about getting them.

IIf I turned off the TDC and I floored it, the ROAR would blow your mind!

Why would you drill holes right there???? That is stupid. All that is doing is letting hot air from the engine bay into your intake now. Notice how there are portions under the hood that seal off the area around the intake when the hood is closed to prevent hot air from getting to it? You just destroyed its purpose. This should result in warmer intake temps and less performance.

So, um... does it sound like 12-cylinder supercar engine at 8k RPM now?
Not hating, just thought it came out funny.

My intake does not get wet, and it is located as originally intended forward of the engine compartment, still receiving outside fresh air. Recently I modified the air intake forward of the radiator in order to cut down on the air turbulence caused by the stock "sight shields". This helps to allow a smoother flow of air directly to the intake box, yet without any water vapor problems because of the intake box location. My hp was increased substantially.

Got some dyno sheets or videos to back up your claims of superior horsepower and super duper Lambo sound?

A few months ago I brought the Z to the dealer. They know me well, and asked me to put on a little show. So immediately about a dozen employees stepped out side, women & men. I brought it out on the road, turned off the TDC, and stepped on it. It was very short but enough. I turned around, and went back. They couldn't believe the performance, and the sound of it. I was told that the week before a GTR owner did the same for show. I was told right then that the GTR didn't even come close to compare at all with what mine could do. The car cost me a small fortune when I bought it, but it was worth it.

I looked up 35thannyZowner's other posts and, if she is telling the truth, she is 67 years old and her car has Lambo doors. I'm not sure what world she lives in that she thinks a Z compares to a GTR, but what do I know.
