intake air duct question.
iv done the research try not to flame me about this. i hear its bad in heavy rains from some people while others never have a prolem. i live in south florida and in the summer it rains every day. is there some kind of plug i can put in it for those days it rains heavy to be on the save side?
I'm sure you could make a plug of some sort and cover the hole, but I'm not sure if it would be worth your time.
Is the duct close enough to the filter to dump water on it with them being at the same height? If it is, then a Hydroshield for the filter might be a better option than fabbing up some kind of cover and installing and uninstalling for the seasons. I don't think too much water would get to the filter so the Hydroshield should keep it dry enough.
I have a vented hood and have never had a problem with water. And the vents are above the filter so water probably gets on it quite a bit.
