Oh no! Not a CAI DISCUSSION AGAIN!
Well, lets face it...every new guy that buys a Z,#1 thing is the intake.
At least,it seems that way.
Read my lips.It does not matter which one you choose. The difference
is negligible. However, you will THINK you have all this new found power.
Sort of the placebo effect. On a stock engine, better off with the OEM
air box or a K&N drop in.It won't look as sexy,though.
If its just killing you to have one,go cheap with a PopCharger.
Got some extra dinero, spring for a K&N CAI.I've got some stock in
the company that owns K&N.
I sure could use the money!

Popcharger is the worst imo

For the z guys the cai filter doesn't sit on the side of the grill opening ? Atleast on the g it does. So I'm getting air from the lower bumper grill

Okay, i have a question for y'all.

If i purchase the RIGHT side airbox from an hr would it be basically the same setup for a de?

Im trying to find an 06 airbox with the velocity stack, but may have found an 07 box for cheeapp.

Need to know this quick because i could be getting it tomorrow. Thanks!

I've had a JWT Popcharger, AEM CAI, and a Nismo CAI. Honestly I couldn't notice the difference in any of them and the stock air box. They do look nicer though. The biggest difference I got from them was sound. With the AEM and the Popcharger you could here the air being sucked into the engine, the Nismo however is very quiet.

yea the nismo is pretty tame so I swapped the filter for a k&n to open up the sound a bit and it did

no, the angle of the tube coming off the box will be all wrong.

i have the Takeda intakes on my hr, no complaints, sheilds are bigger and block more than the pop charger ones, and they have the dry filter which is big perk for me
