The headers on this car are actually pretty good. My experience in doing the mods was that the high flow cats were the most significant single change to releasing more power, with the catback exhaust next. The header change was nominal gain when added to the other two, and by far the most expensive and time consuming installation of the three.

.

will be installing hi flow cats as soon as they get here, and maybe will go with the underdrive pulley next....but i gotta save money first...anyone in so cal interested in a detail for their cars??

Thanks, Dan

I'm just worried/wondering about the same thing. Hoping someone can answer this, that's all

great gains on the headers btw!

I don't think you really need to worry about going lean with just cats/test pipes or just a plenum. But when you combine the two I think you may run into some pingage which you don't want.

I believe that the only ones that have problems with the RT cats running lean are those who had an ECU flash prior to adding the cats. This can easily be corrected by a reflash.

On three cars now...

Plenum, headers, cats, and exhaust... Zero ping.

Mine is between 13.1 and 13.5 the whole way. 13.3 up top >5000 RPM.

Interesting enough it has been brought to our attention by other tuners that RT cats run unusually lean . . .especially when combined with other mods. Nothing a flash cant fix, but it may start robbing power until you flash.

We have not seen this directly as most of us here run stock cats, test pipes, or Crawford cats.

Wow. Best gains I've seen for headers. In fact, even better than testpipes.

Lucky you!

yeah, i'll b interested in seein if u get gains from other exhaust mods that should reduce the back pressure. like it was said before, mayb u won't see much if the nismo headers r designed for use with some. we shall see.
