No, I was answering OP's question. You were justifying spending $1000 more than what I did, that could have went to more mods.

Lol what does my age have to do with anything? Becuase based on that now you're just old and stupid.

I'm sorry that I can't justify to myself spending $1200+ on something that will only affect sound.
Anywho, enjoy the rest of your day. I'm not in the mood to get into an argument with yet another ignorant person.

Before I go, based on what your saying, people that bought authentic Brides are retarded because they could have gotten replica Brides, and as mentioned before, people that bought Volks and Work wheels are retarded because they could have gotten Rotas.

I'm not saying your fake exhaust is total ****, I'm just saying why put something fake on such a nice car?

Z's aren't nice anymore because Honda owners are now taking over Nissan with spray painted cars and wheels with eBay knock off parts.

Honestly if it costs a fraction of what the real thing it's modeled after costs there's a reason. Why does a set of Rota's cost $800 and the real wheels cost $3,000+... There's a reason..... Can't justify that fact then just buy a eBay steering wheels and harness bar and crash. Lets see if you survive.

Truth...

These people are saying we are the idiots because we bought legit parts. I didn't know MY350Z was a Honda forum.

hey i dont knock guys that can afford buying the real deal. With buying a legit part is gratifying knowing your part will fit and be quality. i want an HKS, but i just bought the replica due to i found it for SOOOOO CHEAP. im not comparing the two because i know with the real HKS there would be no trouble at all. i researched the replica for about 2 months now, and i jumped on it off of a whim.

The quality and assurance is more than enough reason to stick to the real thing. With replicas theres always that doubt. This exhaust is the only replica on my car though so i cant really speak from experience because i havent installed it yet lol.

Just get rid of the resonators it comes with and you'll be fine. Should fit fine as well. I wasn't bashing knock offs, I personally would rather save and buy the real thing. I've read nothing but positive results from people buying the HKS replica and swapping the resonators.

The only thing that bothers me is guys that comment saying there's sounds so great, it's the best sound ever blah, blah, blah. Knowing they've never owned something name brand and can only compare there's to YouTube video's.

i completely agree with you on that. im sure the replica is not as good as quality and probly doesnt saound as good, but i wouldnt say its the same or better than the real deal or why else would HKS still sell their product.

and ive also read nothing but positive stuff about replacing the h pipe. i figured what the hell and gonna give it a shot

Exactly what I was saying, but it's tough to argue with idiots.

I understand trying to save money and sometimes replicas aren't bad, but to say a replica is better then the real thing just never happens. That statement is a qualification to be a RICER.

Why do Guess jeans cost $100+ when Levi's cost half that and have a better material? Because name brand.

Again with the name brand lol.... I've heard the real HKS is person multiple times and every time when I show them the sound of my exhaust they say mine sounds better and ask what I have done to it. Once I tell them it's a replica they're baffled. You don't have to spend $1000's of dollars to have a nice sound.

Yes, it is extremely difficult to argue with idiots.

You keep saying the HKS replica exhaust is sh*t. Please give me an educated reason on WHY instead of only saying I didn't spend $2000 on a real exhaust.
Please educate me, because you seem to be sooo much smarter than I
And don't mention the H-pipe, because I agree on the matter that the H-Pipe on the replica is terrible. But replacing the H-pipe with even straight pipe's fixes that issue. So again, please explain in great detail why it is sh*t as you say.

My own honest opinions about the Fake HKS:
1. It's not an authentic item, point blank
2. No engineering behind it, they literally took a picture of the real HKS and made a copy
3. You can never argue that a replica is better than the authentic, it's just a stupid arguement to make which you keep making

What I have read about the Fake HKS:
1. You have to get lucky for the fitment to be proper (especially at the tips)
2. Tips Brown over time
3. More drone then the real HKS
4. More rasp then the real HKS
5. Rusts over time

You keep saying that the replica is better than the HKS, which as I already said, the replica might not be too bad, but it is not better than the authentic exhaust.

Money aside, what exhaust would you pick, the authentic HKS or the replica HKS? If you say the replica you need to get checked out because I don't think ANYBODY in their right mind would take a fake over an authentic.

I myself have 1 replica piece, the Evo-R Blitz replica spoiler, and I will never say it is better then the real Blitz spoiler because I know that would be impossible.

My numbers are in reply to your numbers.

1. Doesn't necessarily mean anything.
2. Can I see some proof that in fact there was no engineering behind it?
3. Never did, I argued for the price it's more reasonable.

1. My fitment was proper? And besides the fact, all replica pieces are test fitted on the car before sale. (Yes I know this is most likely bullsh*t they tell people, but if you call them and say it's improper fitment you send it back and they send you a new one with proper fitment)
2. Mine hasn't brown[ed]
3. Yes, due to the H-pipe. Once that is replaced it's fixed
4. Same as 3.
5. Mine has been on my car for about 10k miles now, it's dirty, but no rust. + however many miles the previous owner had on it

Again, I never said it was better off the bat. Unchanged replica < Real, Altered replica >= real (This is based solely on sound. Performance is hardly a gain on any exhaust so that doesn't get put into the equation)
If both the real and replica cost $200? Real of course (but that question has so many paradox's it's not even funny lol) because it ensures 100% satisfaction.

As for your spoiler, now that is a completely different outlook because replica spoliers (or any body part for that matter) use a completely different material. It's not as strong, which is why it's cheaper. The reason a real evo-r blitz spoiler is more expansive because it has tougher and more expansive material. Replica body parts are based only on looks. You want it to perform anything like it's supposed to you gotta get a real one.
Exhausts however are sheet metal. Sheet metal isn't that expansive, hence why you're paying for the name.
